Debre Selam St. Michael and St. Mary Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is one of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo churches serving the growing Ethiopian community in Sacramento California , Established in 2021, the church has played a vital role in preserving the spiritual traditions, liturgical practices, and cultural heritage of Ethiopian Orthodox believers in the area. Known formally as Debre Selam Kidus Michael Church, it provides regular worship services, religious education, and community support, creating a strong sense of unity and identity among its members while also contributing to the broader multicultural and faith landscape of Sacramento.
ደብረ ሰላም ቅዱስ ሚካኤል እና ቅድስት ማርያም የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተክርስቲያን በሳክራሜንቶ (Sacramento) ውስጥ እያደገ ላለው የኢትዮጵያ ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት ከሚሰጡ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ አብያተ ክርስቲያናት አንዱ ነው።
እ.ኤ.አ. በ2021 የተመሰረተው ይህ ቤተክርስቲያን፣ በአካባቢው ለሚገኙ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ አማኞች መንፈሳዊ ወጎችን፣ የሥርዓተ አምልኮ ተግባራትን እና ባህላዊ ቅርሶችን በመጠበቅ ረገድ ወሳኝ ሚና ተጫውቷል። በይፋዊ ስሙ ደብረ ሰላም ቅዱስ ሚካኤል ቤተክርስቲያን ተብሎ የሚታወቀው ይህ ታሪካዊ ስፍራ፤ መደበኛ የጸሎት አገልግሎቶችን፣ የሃይማኖት ትምህርትን እና የማህበረሰብ ድጋፎችን ይሰጣል። ይህም በአባላቱ መካከል ጠንካራ አንድነትንና ማንነትን ከመፍጠሩም በላይ፣ ለሳክራሜንቶ ሰፊ የባህል ብዝሃነት እና የሃይማኖት ገጽታ የራሱን አስተዋፅኦ እያበረከተ ይገኛል።
